Here is an excerpt of the interview.

Golf Conversations: Doug, I was looking at your web site and read about all the things you’ve done and are doing and I have a question for you: are you a golf pro or a Renaissance Man?

(laughter)

Doug Hendricks: I’ve been a PGA golf professional for 30 years.

GC: Wow!

DH: I’ve gone in a lot of different directions within the golf industry but I still actively teach.  I’m starting a new TV show this year so that’s taking a tremendous amount of my time.

GC: I saw some of your “GolfShots” TV shows where you provide instruction…

DH: I co-hosted that show for 8 years.

GC: Yes, that’s the one I saw.

DH: I had a wonderful partner in that show.  I skipped 2010 entirely and worked on my own during that year to put together a new show which will have some similarities and some differences.  The new show is called “Winning Golf” with the tag line, Where Everybody Wins. That matches up with a lot of the other programs I provide in my business which includes not only instruction but team building through golf for the corporate world.

GC: You’re very good on television.  Articulate and well spoken – that’s a gift.  And I’m not just sucking up to you.  That’ll come later.

(laughter)

DH: Thank you.  I enjoy the show very much and enjoy being around people in the golf world.  It’s been a real joy to be in the field for 30 years.
